Opal Evolution is a new community focussed light, projection and community arts festival in Andamooka, conceived by Andamooka artist Leila Day.
OSCA is working in partnership with Leila in the festivals development over the next 3 years and into the future.
Proposal: To bring new vitality to the town and community of Andamooka in the wake of COVID19, through the creation of an annual light, projection and community arts festival in Andamooka, titled Opal Evolution. This is to be a high-profile Regional Arts Festival that will focus on opal from its geological formation and palaeontological connections to the origins of opal within the Dreamtime stories of the First Nations Kokotha People.
