TRANSFORMING EVERYDAY SITES is a series of 2 x 2day workshops focused on temporary site-based art and place-making projects in public spaces. The workshops are open to artists, creatives, performers, art workers and other interested individuals of all ages and levels of practice.

TRANSFORMING EVERYDAY SITES will be led by artists Ella Ziegler and Paul Gazzola, whose individual projects, seek to re-imagine public space as sites of community engagement and playful artistic expression. These artists employ a range of methods to highlight, question and renegotiate the importance of individual participation in public spaces.

“I take delight in renewing my own as well as my viewers’ consciousness by highlighting and sensitizing us to what normally passes us by inconspicuously. My independent, idiosyncratic practice is simple and radical at the same time, inspiring wonder, provoking curiosity and making us think differently about what we previously considered ordinary.” Ella Ziegler
